Owl Box Monitoring Volunteer - Seasonal from May to June

Monitoring Volunteers use a pole camera to check nesting boxes for occupancy, and record data on the number, age and health of chicks.

Nesting boxes are located throughout Marin and Sonoma.

Flexible schedule, minimum of four hours per week plus travel time, must be 18 years or older. Must be in good health and able to walk a few miles on uneven ground. Transportation and basic computer and map reading skills required.

Nest Box Coordinator

The Nest Box Coordinator's duties include transporting boxes from where they are built in Sonoma County to our storage site in Marin County.

They are responsible for maintaining inventory, keeping the Marin storage area clean and organized, simple box repair and putting boxes out for customer pick-up. 

Flexible schedule of four to six hours a week. Requires basic carpentry skills, the ability to lift and move heavy boxes, and record keeping. A truck for transportation is helpful but not required.

Webcam Wizard

We are looking for an enthusiastic, tech savvy person to maintain and repair our current owl cams, and install new cameras when needed.

We are looking for someone interested in researching webcam technology, in anticipation of expanding and upgrading our current set-up in the future.

Duties include working with web masters and technical staff at various locations.

Nesting Box Builders

We are always looking for skilled carpenters to build quality nesting boxes for us. Boxes must be built to our exact specifications, and must be in salable quality.

Unlimited volunteers needed. 






Support Volunteers

Support Volunteers help with ad hoc and ongoing projects such as computer support, data entry, and event planning and staffing.

Support volunteers can also help by lending their professional skills to areas such as fundraising and photography.
